We keep looking for aliens in space while the ocean is hiding creatures that already look impossible.

The octopus feels alien because it solves problems in ways that don’t look human.

The deepest mystery on Earth may not be above us. It may be below us.
BRIEFING
Jett here. Everyone loves looking up at the stars when the alien conversation starts, right? We immediately think, "space... the final frontier." It's all about Mars, UFOs, and weird lights over military bases. The whole "alien" discussion always points up. But what if we’ve been staring in the wrong direction? What if the most alien intelligence on Earth has been sliding and swimming around the bottom of the ocean this whole time, changing color, solving problems, hunting with strategy, and watching us with eyes that might actually be better designed than ours? Let’s get into it.
And guys, the octopus is where this whole thing gets really weird, really fast.
They're not just squishy sea creatures with tentacles and effective camouflage. Octopuses can change color and texture almost instantly, blending into coral, rocks, sand, and whatever strange little corner of the ocean they decide to vanish into. They can squeeze through super tiny openings, open jars, use objects as cover, sneak out of fish tanks and raid neighboring aquariums for food, and then crawl back like nothing happened.
They can plan. It's tactical and creepily cool all at the same time.
Their intelligence doesn’t feel mammalian. They're almost like an alternate version of intelligence that developed in the dark, under pressure, in ways we can't even understand.
That’s why people keep calling them aliens.
Sure, it sounds weird, but think about it... the ocean is basically another planet sitting right under our noses.
So, why are we so obsessed with space when most of us have no real idea what’s living at the bottom of the ocean?
We talk about Mars like it’s the final frontier, but the deepest parts of our planet are still dark, strange, and barely understood by humans. The ocean covers most of Earth. Its deepest trenches are black, crushing, freezing, and full of creatures that look like nightmares. Giant squid were once treated like sailor mythology until the cameras finally caught one. Deep-sea footage still turns up animals that look like they belong in a Spielberg flick, not on this planet.
So maybe the real alien question isn’t, “Are they living on another planet?”
Maybe it’s, “Are they already living beneath our feet?”
If something strange and intelligent lived deep in the ocean, we might never know. We've never gone to the bottom, we don't even know where it is. Humans have reached the deepest known point of the ocean, but only a tiny number of people have ever been there, and the majority of the deep ocean remains unexplored.
We just keep searching the sky while one of the biggest mysteries on Earth sits miles beneath our surface.
Before I share the bigger Rogan clip, this shorter clip sets the table perfectly.
It gets at the thing that makes octopuses so interesting. They don’t just look alien, they behave like a different kind of intelligence. They adapt instantly, disappear in plain sight, manipulate objects, and seem to process their environment in ways that make our land-animal brains short-circuit.

This sounds wild, but real scientists have asked whether octopuses are so biologically strange that “alien” may not be just a joke.

Once you realize the ocean is basically another planet beneath our feet, the alien conversation starts looking very different.
Yes, this Rogan clip is long, but I'm telling you, it's worth the ride. It starts with octopuses, then opens into something much bigger: animal intelligence, deep-sea weirdness, giant squid, orcas, ocean darkness, and the uncomfortable reality that humans may not be anywhere near the top of the mystery ladder.
The conversation goes from octopuses changing skin like living computer screens, groupers and octopuses cooperating while hunting, octopuses using objects as shelter, escaping aquariums, and even the strange design of their eyes. Then it gets into the deep ocean, where creatures show up on underwater cameras looking like proof that Earth has been running an alien program right under our noses.

DEBRIEFING
These clips do something really interesting... they make you question why we’ve trained ourselves to think alien life has to come from space.
And maybe the reason the ocean scares us is because it already contains what we keep pretending we need space to find...
The bottom of the ocean is a living black box. We don’t fully understand what’s down there, how intelligent some of it may be, or what kinds of life can exist in conditions that would crush a human body in seconds. And yet, culturally, we treat the ocean like some background scenery, while space receives all the wonder, funding, mythology, and obsession.
NOW YOU KNOW
Why are we so obsessed with aliens from above when Earth’s strangest intelligence may be hiding below?

Look no further than your neighborhood for aliens! They are like octopi with their tentacles on every handout imaginable. They don’t assimilate, they live in the world they came from. There about 40 million of them that would be better observed from a distance on the other side of the oceans.
The fallen angels (a.k.a. aliens) are living among us………above, below and right here on planet earth. They shapeshift & appear and disappear right before our eyes. They shapeshift and are working here and the best players in the sports field. Nothing new, BUT can be verrry dangerous when they want to be.
Now we know where Bigfoot is hiding!
NUTS.
Animals born of the earth.
Something even more mysterious. The earth itself UNDER the ocean. We haven’t even penetrated the mantle only 25 miles deep, they say. So what is under it?
They have been underground since the flood of Noah, they are a product of the Fallen Angels, they are not from outer space.
so then, watching a rerun of ‘The Abyss’ again?
