BRIEFING
Grant here. Bad Bunny's recent Super Bowl halftime show has been ruffling a lot of feathers, with many Americans questioning why we're watching someone perform entirely in Spanish and declaring during the most important performance in the United States that apparently everyone who lives in the Americas geographically is an "American." Let’s break it down.
A viral video shows a black viewer questioning why the NFL would feature a Spanish-language artist at the Super Bowl halftime show, saying he doesn’t understand the lyrics, the culture, or the overall message. But most importantly, he explains that he doesn’t see why he should be labeled racist for choosing not to watch or enjoy Bad Bunny's performance.
Like he points out, he feels like there's a bigger "agenda" at play here with the messaging baked into Bad Bunny's performance, and frankly, he's not here for it.

Black man calls out the NFL for their Super Bowl halftime show being in Spanish and for the leftist politics of it all:
“People are saying you’re racist for not wanting to watch or support Bad Bunny, and I’m like, I think that’s the problem. I think there’s an agenda behind why he’s performing.”
The black community has been lied to and pandered to by the Democrat Party for decades. So they’re now keenly aware of when they’re being toyed with politically. That’s one of the reasons they essentially doubled their support for President Trump in the last election. He just treats them as Americans.
It’s also why you see such low black turnout now for many Democrat-led protests.
Trump also gained handily among Hispanics in the 2024 election.
All of this is why Democrats are terrified of a Vance/Rubio ticket. Not because Vance has an Indian-American wife and Rubio is Latin. But because Vance/Rubio both treat all Americans equally.
The more that Democrats push woke agendas, the more they lose support from Americans who are sick of being taken for granted.

DEBRIEFING
This clip and the overall message written in the X post definitely hits a deeper layer that a lot of people on the left just aren't registering.
It's not that people have an issue with Bad Bunny or the fact that he speaks Spanish. It's the fact that this artist was chosen to perform on literally the most important cultural stage in the United States while not representing the United States or its people.
Instead, Bad Bunny chose to put out the statement that literally everyone is American, regardless if they're from Ohio or Guatemala. While that statement might sound "beautiful" or "poetic" on paper or in lyrics, it doesn't represent the reality that the United States is its own country, with its own people and culture, and it's not fair or right to now all of a sudden flatten everything into "American" across dozens of countries, cultures, languages, and histories.
It's not only flattening American culture as it is in the United States, but ironically, it's also flattening the individual culture of all the Central and Southern American countries that Bad Bunny so proudly rattled off as "American." When individuality disappears, nothing is special or unique; it all just mixes into one confusing cultural blur.
And that's the disconnect in a nutshell. All the Americans in the United States, black ones included, are sitting here wondering why their culture is being swept under the rug to celebrate a foreign one during the United States' most popular annual event.
NOW YOU KNOW
When everything is labeled “American,” the word stops meaning anything.
