Michelle Obama preaches “buy by race” while dressed in elite contradiction.

Apparently this sermon targets peasants, not the elite.

Moral scolding apparently exempts the speaker.

BRIEFING

Grant here. Michelle Obama loves to get up on her soapbox and lecture us peasants. But her latest sermon on white-owned brands shows just how truly clueless and out of touch this liberal elitist is. Let’s break it down.

During a recent appearance, Michelle made a point of telling the audience how important it is to support black-owned brands and avoid those owned by caucasians. She actually makes a point of saying, "If you have the money to buy Chanel, then you have the money to buy everybody."

But the ironic thing is that while she's preaching about buying from only black-owned brands, she's sitting there in a $1,185 skirt created by white designer Emilia Wickstead.

So not only is she wearing a skirt made by *gasp* a white woman, but it also costs more than what a majority of Americans make in a week.

You just can't make this hypocrisy up.

And again, it's super ironic that Michelle Obama of all people is actually instructing us all on what we should be filling our closets with.

Let's not forget, this is the same woman who wore an $8,000 gown made by another white and British designer, Alexander McQueen, to a White House state dinner.

In 2011, Michelle Obama made a surprising move by donning a stunning orange and red dress by Alexander McQueen to a White House state dinner with then-President Barack Obama for then-Chinese President Hu Jintao. One of Michelle's most daring outfits of all time, the petal-print silk organza ball gown showed off the former first lady's impressively toned arms and was estimated by Politico to have cost somewhere between $7,000 and $8,000. At the time, Michelle's decision to wear a British brand instead of an American one sparked backlash from designers such as Oscar de la Renta and Diane von Furstenberg.

DEBRIEFING

The absurdity here is almost too on-the-nose. Of all people, Michelle Obama positioning herself as a moral authority on what Americans should and should not buy is rich, especially once you step back and look at her own track record.

Her lecturing the public while draped in designer luxury isn’t just a one-off wardrobe slip. Michelle Obama has repeatedly worn costly designs by elite white and European designers while instructing the public about being “mindful” of who they support with their dollars. And often, it was our tax dollars funding her bougie outfits.

Honestly, this woman is the definition of the clueless liberal elite in this country. They sit there posturing, all the while sitting in luxuries most of us regular folk will never know.

NOW YOU KNOW

In the end, Michelle's outfit didn’t just “miss the memo.” It exposed it.
