Grant here. The left’s so-called “trans mission” has long been entrenched in controversy. From its strain on mental health to its impact on society and reproductive rights, there’s no shortage of areas this movement threatens to damage. Yet they keep waving the flag of “compassion.”

But the entire movement has now reached a new level of darkness. For years, activists have pushed the narrative that gender surgeries and hormone treatments save lives. The truth paints a very different picture. Suicide risk doesn’t go down after transition. It skyrockets.

Right beneath Elon Musk’s explosive post was a link to a disturbing article describing how twenty-four transgender individuals recently took part in what’s being called a mass suicide attempt. This incident really paints a grim picture of the mental health crisis festering beneath the surface of the so-called "beautiful" trans movement.

A financial dispute between rival trans groups in the Indian city of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, led 24 trans individuals to engage in a shocking mass suicide attempt. Everyone was taken to a nearby hospital and survived.

“We received information about a situation of ruckus at a house in Nandlalpura where transgender persons reside,” Deputy Commissioner of Police Anand Kaladgi, told the media, as reported by the Hindustan Times. “Our senior officers promptly arrived at the scene. They learned that some of the individuals had consumed an unknown substance, causing several of them to fall ill. Ambulances were immediately called, and 24 people were admitted to the nearby hospital.”

“They are currently receiving treatment and are in stable condition. Once their health improves, their statements will be recorded, and the reason for the incident will be known.”

The day after the collective suicide attempt, the leader of the rival group, Sapna Haji, also known as Sapna Guru, was arrested for assault and extortion. Police are also investigating three of her associates, according to The Hindu. One of the associates, Pankaj Jain, has also been accused of posing as a journalist to threaten and rape a trans woman from the rival group. Kaladgi said those charges are not related to this incident, though, calling them “a different matter.”

This incident is disturbing on so many levels, but more than that, it exposes the complete disintegration of mental health within the transgender community. One that few seem to be addressing.

Despite the left’s constant efforts to downplay or deflect the mental health crisis in this group, the data simply doesn’t lie. Study after study shows that rates of self-harm and suicidal behavior among transgender individuals are alarmingly high.

In fact, transgender adults in the U.S. are nearly 12 times more likely to experience suicidal thoughts and 18 times more likely to attempt suicide compared to the general population.

Over the past 20 years, a growing body of research has focused on suicidality among transgender individuals, including prevalence estimates and risk factors associated with suicide thoughts and attempts. Studies of the transgender population demonstrate that the prevalence of suicide thoughts and attempts among transgender adults is significantly higher than that of the U.S. general population. For example, transgender adults have a prevalence of past-year suicide ideation that is nearly twelve times higher, and a prevalence of past-year suicide attempts that is about eighteen times higher, than the U.S. general population. The 2015 U.S. Transgender Survey (USTS), which is the largest survey of transgender people in the U.S. to date, found that 81.7 percent of respondents reported ever seriously thinking about suicide in their lifetimes, while 48.3 percent had done so in the past year. In regard to suicide attempts, 40.4 percent reported attempting suicide at some point in their lifetimes, and 7.3 percent reported attempting suicide in the past year.

Although the research literature to date agrees that transgender people are at an elevated risk of suicide thoughts and attempts, there is still much to learn about why transgender people are particularly at risk. In this report, we utilize data from the 2015 USTS to examine the key risk factors associated with lifetime and past-year suicide thoughts and attempts among a large and diverse sample of transgender people.

DEBRIEFING

The left has spent years pushing the idea that “gender-affirming” surgery and hormone therapy supposedly "save lives," but the evidence tells a very different story. The data is clear: suicide rates among transgender individuals are not falling... they’re rising. And instead of confronting this disturbing truth, activists and media elites bury it under slogans about “inclusivity” and “compassion.”

This is in no way compassion. It’s purely denial. What we’re seeing is a growing epidemic of mental illness that’s being packaged and sold as "progress." So, rather than addressing the deep psychological distress that leads to self-harm, the left’s solution is to double down on the same ideology that’s driving people further into despair.

Elon Musk’s blunt warning exposes the ugly undercurrent of this movement: a system that sacrifices truth for politics and human lives for ideology. This latest mass suicide attempt isn’t just an isolated event; it’s a flashing red warning light of what happens when society chooses affirmation over accountability.

Until the left stops pretending that irreversible surgeries and drugs are a cure for pain, the trans crisis will only grow darker.
