Nothing ages faster than a liberal sense of humor.

Trump lives rent-free in the heads of men who once lived for comedy.

BRIEFING

Grant here. Welcome back to our Cypher series, where we highlight the unhinged aging liberals who are in the most critical need of nursing home placement. The latest entry is the once brilliant John Cleese. He used to be a master of timing and satire, but his severe case of TDS has turned him into a walking example of what happens when a legend forgets how to think for himself. Let’s break it down.

On Veterans Day, when most people take a moment to show basic respect, Cleese chose to melt down online. Trump laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Cleese saw that solemn moment and decided the world needed a bizarre and rather cold-hearted "joke," claiming Trump was honoring the Tomb of the “Unknown Loser.”

He deleted it later, but as usual the internet snagged the screenshots.

SOURCE

Sadly, this is how it always goes. The ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is one of the few moments in American culture that doesn't need to be politicized. But in Cleese’s case, the Trump derangement kicks in, the post goes up, the post gets nuked, and the same man who once built a career on comedic timing and precision suddenly cannot manage the basics of self-control.

And this was not a one-off. Cleese has been spiraling for a while, reposting sloppy misinformation about Israel, firing off low-effort political takes, and confusing bitterness with wit. The man who used to know exactly how to land a joke now spends his days missing the mark entirely.

Then there is the growing habit on the left of flirting with political violence, and Cleese has joined that chorus with enthusiasm. Not long ago he posted, then deleted, a suggestion that Stephen Miller should be hung by a noose.

Talk about a class act...

DEBRIEFING

John Cleese wasn't dragged into this series because of one bad post. He's here because his entire public presence shows the same pattern we have watched from countless aging liberals who still haven't recovered from 2016.

This Veterans Day incident with Cleese really shows just how far down the rabbit hole he's fallen. When a man mocks the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier to score a point against Trump, it's no longer political. It's emotional and mental collapse.

The tragedy here is not that Cleese disagrees with Trump; it's that he no longer sounds like the great comedic thinker he used to be. Much like the others, Cleese has allowed his political hatred to fully hijack his psyche, and at this point, it's hard to believe that this is the same man who once starred in Monty Python's Holy Grail.

This is why the Cypher Nursing Home exists. It's the final stop for public figures who cannot handle their own derangement anymore. Cleese has earned his room. And sadly, he's not alone.

NOW YOU KNOW

This is not satire. This is cognitive decline in real time.
